UPDATE took this to a local jeweler & its legit! 14k, appraised at $800! Well, the luck if the Irish was with me today! I went to visit my Dad and hit a spot we've hit before. I found the headlight overall buttons, part of a toy gun & plated spoon. I got home & took a nap. Woke up, still a couple hours of daylight left so I decided to hit the middle school a few minutes down the road. About 10 minutes and I got a 22 24 on the Mxt pro. I was thinking probably another pull tab but BAM! I could tell right away it was gold! The marking is worn but I can make out an 8. Ill get it tested to find out for sure what karat it is. I'm almost certain the diamonds are genuine (they have the sparkle!) but I'll get those tested for piece of mind as well. There is one stone missing but oh well.This makes gold #3 for the year and the 3rd gold I've found at this school. Man it keeps giving! Glad there was a little gold at the end of the rainbow!
