TODAYS R&R TRACK FINDS!!

Hi all,

it was near 50 degrees in MI here today (probably some sort of record or close for THIS time of yr!). The ground isn't even frozen here yet and no snow! Usually at this time of yr. you need a jack-hammer to dig in the ground (literally)!

But anyway - I went out for a bit today downtown along the R&R tracks in an old section of town and detected a strip of land along side the tracks about 1 block long and this is the best I came away with!

.37 cents
a Sterling Fob
a buckle piece
and a flattened penny some kid probably set on the tracks like we used to do back in the day! lol

Nice fob you found lonewolfe.

What are the hallmarks on the back of it? Can't tell from the picture.

Looks old and very cool. Nicer than anything I have found so far. Good find.

I have a book on silver hallmarks and may be able to find out more about it for you.

Nice fob Lonewolfe. Glad you got to hunt today. It's been unseasonably warm here too.

Go get em!

Turn the discrimination all the way UP is the "trick" for hunting along tracks :)

Nice sterling fob. It looks like it has a crown on the top, so I'm guessing it was made in and for the British market. The hallmarks should prove or disprove my theory (probably disprove lol).
