Took a trip this weekend to Bradford County PA with my buddy Jim (Walk the dog) Shaw and his son. We knew of an old cellar hole from past deer hunting trips. After getting permission from the owner and detectors in tow, we began to search property around and inside the old house foundation. The hunt provided some nice finds. I dug two large cents, with one being holed. Both cents were from the 1840's. We found some old iron as well as a flat button and some other unknown stuff. Made for a nice weekend with friends.

It was definately a large house. The base of the fireplace was still there. We also found the hand dug well that was covered with flat rocks.. Man that thing was deep. Only about 3' in diameter. Those guys were brave to go down in that hole, that deep. It was in a courtyard next to the foundation.

There is probably treasure at the bottom of the well. Also, definitely at the bottom of the outhouse. Great site! You may be able to locate out buildings by the cornerstones. They would often just lay stones on the ground at the four corners of the barns and sheds. Have fun! H Digs :)
