My best week on the beach

Hello all. After the recent March storms here in the northeast, and with the moderating temps, I figured it was a good time to get back to the beach to hit my favorite section to see how low the sand had been washed out. Over the course of 10 days, I got in 7 hunts- a little over 22 hours with my Ace 250. I focused on the flat, where the hardpack was only 3-4 inches deep. It was amazing- I was picking up a target/coin every minute, without exaggeration. When I picked up a small silver ring, and realized that I had also found a 1940 nickel, 1940 wheat cent, and 1941 Mercury dime, I realized that I had a great section to work. Over the next several hunts came find after find- a heavy 925 figaro chain, a chunky 925 ring, a 925 toe ring, a 1923 Buffalo nickel, a small anchor button (anyone recognize this style?), and a few more wheats. Then yesterday came the best day yet. I was a little discouraged to see that the flat had sanded back in, but I kept at it, focusing on the slope. After picking up what turned out to be a sterling and turquoise bracelet, and about $6 in clad, I was making my return trip down the beach to head for home. As I had done all the while, I was digging every repeating nickel/foil signal (probably 50 beaver tails on the day) when I got a solid nickel signal at about 4 inches. Thinking that it was probably another nickel, I scooped out the sand and looked in my spade- and there it was. I almost dropped the shovel. A 14K wide men's wedding band! I haven't taken it off since I got it home, since it alone has paid for my detector about 4X over! Needless to say I'm going back to that section as soon as I can!
