The coin is dated 1910; the only ten cent Canadian coin date starting with 191X where the monarch is facing right. Mintage: about 4.5 million. Retail value is about $4 in VG-8 $9 in F-12 --on up to $400 in UNC. It contains 92.5% silver ( 0.0691 oz ASW).

10 cents was more valuable back in 1910. I'm sure some parents sewed coins into the child's clothing so as not to get lost.

Back in those day's coins were often holed and sown into the jacket or shirt so not to be lost...... .In this case .925 silver dime !!

what did you do to clean them...rock tumbler?

Nope I have a really nice sonic cleaner and I have a special cleaning solution I use that won't remove the patina!!
