Hey all. Just had to share some of the finds from this last week. Got out a couple times and got 3 silver including a 43 washington that I dug at 12"man what a workout that was. If anyone has any sort of information on the old padlock or the token please let me know. I haven't been able to find out much about either yet as far as possible age, value which isn't all that important or any other information I would appreciate it. Not shown in the pics is a 1905 Indian, a few wheats and the clad. Obviously I would think that the quarter at 12"was due to backfill. I think the quarter is in great shape myself. Any ideas what it might grade at?

Thanks for watching and HH!

The token was a payoff from a machine (like a slot machine). To avoid running afoul of gambling laws, these tokens were used to make a payoff in packs of cigarettes rather than cash money. This type of token was used all over the country, so it cannot be narrowed down to a specific spot.

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate it and especially appreciate the input on the coin and the great info provided on the token. I thought it was probably for cigarettes but since it did not specifically mention cigarettes I was not entirely sure. Great job guys!

Glad you dug down the 12". I sometimes get frustrated after digging 8" or so and not being able to get antoher signal due to the air distance. I fill the hole and move on to shallower targets. I know I am screwing myself sometimes but I get mad and move on. Way to stick with it. :icon_thumright:

Just gotta wonder how a relatively modern coin gets down a foot deep ? Nice save !

I was wondering about that as well. I'm going with the answer that either turned dirt or backfill at some point in time led to it getting that deep to begin with. A couple of years ago I pulled a SLQ from near there and it was only 6"deep.

Thanks for the comments guys. Glad everyone is enjoying the pics and video.
