This short hunt uncovered a one piece flat button (no shank) and a nice decorated 2 piece button without a back. I also found an ox knob (some call them ox balls :tongue3:) and a decorative something that may have been a clasp for a purse or a book? My last find was a hunk of lead, about the size of a bullet. It may be my active imagination but it almost looks like teeth marks on it. There were no battles around here so I doubt if anyone needed to take such drastic measures but who knows? ???

Thanks for looking!

Thanks John Boy and vpnavy! Unfortunately the flat button is bent but I've found many more intact ones here. :)

Cool finds. The lead could be just about anything. I've heard it's not uncommon for hogs and other animals to find bits of lead (like fired bullets) and gnaw on them.
