I'm on-call so I can't venture too far away from the area,One week for 24/7...Took a ride to the Landfill, wanted to stop by an old Park but the gate's were closed..Drove past a friend of mine's place,he wasn't home(1890'..Never hunted it before)I ended up at some of my past landlord's when Momma and me first met....Full-on permmision...First hit was this B&O button...The house was a formerley a stable back in the day,and the road going in to the property was once the "rail" bed.....Couldn't believe it ,first hit and this popped up,....Anyone have any info on railroad button's?.....Personally I'll take it over a coin anyday!!!.....HH!!

VanCourt's book on railroad buttons indicates that varieties of this one were made from about 1898 to 1915.

Great find man. It's been a while since I have gotten out, but I am itching to go. Next time I am in town I will give you a shout or if want to head into VA or MD one weekend let me know, we could hit some of your old stomping grounds. Again, great find bud!!
