'Scottish 49er that found the mother load,i found a silver' lol
Scottish born Australian,John Boyd Watson left Australia in 1850 and spent 2 years on the Calfornia gold feilds.He spent much of his time mining and learning the fine art of find alluvial gold and deep mining.The 49ers that came gold rush here in 1852 where highly reguarded for their skill and their mining equipment.Watson also returned with his aquired skill.in the area where i live the gold field is cleaned out, both a alluvial and deep saddle quartz reefs.These 49ers panned, puddled, sluiced everything down to the pan [bottom].Left no rock unturned and cleaned out everything.then traced the gold deep into the earth [hard rock mining] Heres a link to Joh boyd Watson and then a pic of a sign of his biggest find.

I went to the site of this famous mine yesterday and found my first big silver for the year.I,m happy has i know thats only coins and relics at most of the mine sites around here and you would have to be really lucky to find any gold.The 49ers were just to good at goldmining,A few other would beg to differ but i know theres not gold left.
