Got permission to hunt the two peoples houses that live across the street from me, and just like my yard both of theirs is highly mineralized or trashy, alot of chatter to work through but managed 10 wheats (1937, 1944, 1946x3, 1956, 1934, 1951, 1945D, and a 1940 S)and my first silver of the year after about 5 hunts a 1929 merc, man i love mercs!! plus i think i have a steel cent here, not a hundred percent sure but it was in a hole right next to one of my 1944 wheats:icon_scratch: id love to clean it up and see 1943 on it but i doubt it lol, thanks for looking and HH!! Nice Merc. I think it one of the nicest silvers we ever made here. Save those wheats copper is going to be worth a penny or two :treasurechest:

yeah its definately up there on my favorites list, maybe because its the oldest silver ive dug?? lol
That "steel cent" i THINK i have is killing me, its got a rim like a penny and it was in the same hole as one of the wheats i dug but i cant get the hard rust off of it to make anything out

I have dug a couple steel pennies. They are fun but only cause you can prove you DIG EVERYTHING. :P Sweet finds.
