been doing some looking on the net. from what I can find, Toledo Blade is a newspaper and also there is evidently a knife and sword manufacturer of the same name. I seriously doubt that this item is civil war era. it really looks to me to have that late 1920's to 1940 appearance. hopefully someone here can give an accurate ID. I wasn't able to turn up much.
