Yes.
I am a thrift shop hound.
But only for certain items such as American Brilliant Period Cut Glass and items that I think are vintage and valuable.
I believe I hit the spot on these two items.

Stopped by an unknown to me thrift shop and spotted these two items.

An American Brilliant Period Cut Glass "salt dip?". Not really sure what it is, but beautiful for sure.
The next is an orange vase with wonderfully cut diamond patterns and clear dots. I imagine to emulate leaves and berries.
I don't believe the vase is ABP, in fact, I'm 99% sure it is not. However, I don't know much about vintage cut glass only ABP.

And the UV light test.....bam! Lime green. :tongue3:

Thanks for looking!
-Joanne

Forgot.....paid $13.50 for both.
Well worth more.

Love the orange vase! Elegance is where you find it! :icon_thumright: Adventuring in thrifts definitely results in some excellent & unexpected finds. My best thrift find was a tall, slender display case with interior lighting that I use to display my fave detecting finds, minerals, native american pottery, & so forth. Have fun! Andi

I've been looking for a display case as well. I've found that you can find wonderfully made items at thrift shops. Junk too. :tongue3:

that orange piece is definitely unique. I have never seen glass in that shade, but, like Jeff of Pa, that is out of my field, lol. Looks nice to me anyway:icon_thumleft:

Do you solely collect or do you use your pieces you buy? I'm thinking what a fabulous juice glass the orange one would be.
