Could'nt work out why this lump of coral (in 2 ft of water) at the beach kept "hitting"?

brought it home and it started to fall apart in my bag - WOW!!!

just need to identify them and work out how to save / clean them???

Wow, nice find. Please let us know what they are when you crack them open? If they are silver, which I think they are then it wont hurt them to be opened up. They may need a short burst of electrolysis if the have been in the drink for hundreds of years.
Keep us posted.

Holy smokestacks!!

Before doing anymore cleaning, you might want to wait for a few preservation tips from
some TNet members. . . (I know, waiting can be a difficult thing to do LOL)

Watercolor got it right - PLEASE wait until you have the info you need to confidently separate/clean these coins - the info will be
forthcoming , there are plenty of veteran underwater hunters who know what to do here !

I don't know much, but I have heard that breaking a find like this out of its clump is a "No, No"... I'd keep them AS IS and have them looked at by maybe a grading company.... It would be nice if you knew what ship they may have been in at that location... Also could be more out deeper in the water or in that area... Wow, this is insane... I'll vote banner !! You have some work ahead of you and possible sunken ship wreak filled with Gold Doubloons !! Amazing !!

keep @ it and HH !!
