I can't believe what just happened today
A year ago last May when I was detecting a local 1960's park a few blocks from home I found the bottom portion of
a sterling silver "matchsafe" that had an engraved initial on one side and an engraved date of 1901 on the other.
The only thing that was missing was the "cap" portion of the matchsafe.
Tonight, after dinner, I detected this same park with one of my best friends and after detecting about 20 minutes, he
yelled out: "Hey Mark, I have something for you". When I went over to see what he had found I couldn't believe my
eyes. . . he had found the missing top to my matchsafe about 30 yards from where I found the bottom portion last year.
