I know most of you know where rock walls and rock piles get there supply from. Well I was detecting some old farm land in some woods with the descrimination at all the way down when I get an iron hit in the rock pile and I moved a bunch of rocks to find it when I relized it was this good sized rounded out rock. I figure about 60-70 lbs. And I relize, this rock is smooth unlike the othrs and it made my deterctor go off. Its got what I'm guessing is a sandstone/sedimentary surface. Also, the rock was pitted in some spots. One spot was bigger than the others and I could clearly see black inside. I took a stone chisel to it ans revield more blackness. A broken weak magnet will attract all the way around the rock. Point Blank, I'm stumped. Here's the pic of the rock.
