Gas rebates are always good!! Hope the damage to the earrings did not happen while they were being worn. Seems like there should be more at an old defunct pool especially with 1939 dates showing up. But you found 'stuff' and that is what all of us hope to do................keep swinging..................63bkpke

Might not be many good saves in that but it sure looks like it wasn't for lack of trying. ;)

You were digging a lot weren't you! :)

Still had fun I'd wager.

I call your gas rebate battery fund.

Thanks for sharing.

It's finally thining out. a bit obvious someone who doesn't like low tones
is hammering it :laughing7:
I only had about 7 high tones all morning 4 dimes, 3 copper cents

as far as the old nickel, 1939 on any coin but a Nickle would have been a surprise.
I believe allot of the early nickels are still in Circulation.
But still a keeper of course

gas rebate / battery fund :laughing7: whatever works LOL
now if only aluminum foil & can tabs had value :laughing9:
& didn't hide the Gold 8-)

I believe I may need to lower my Discrimination there next time,
and hit that iron

Ya know, it's kinda funny. I go to schools, parks, etc, and I KNOW they've been hammered. But, still, somehow, that doesn't bother me. I seem to have a God given knack for finding things and for putting my coil over areas that others must not be. Then, I prove it by always finding something. Maybe not what I'm wanting, but always something worth saving. :)

It's also partly because I have a very low threshold of "good". :) If I find a nickel, quarter, ring, I know I have treasure. If they're old, so much the better. If I get nothing but pulltabs? I got the exercise and the park's cleaner. :)

I talked to another detectorist the other day and he went on and on and on about what he's found and where and how he was planning to go here, there, somewhere else. Then, he was going to try beach hunting, gold panning, coin rolling, dredging, etc, etc. All the while you could actually see his blood pressure rising by the second!

I listened patiently, then shook hands and parted company. Had to wipe my brow! LOL

Some people just don't get this, do they. :)
