Bounty Hunter Girl I don't thing the square thing is a buckle,what does the reverse side look like?Sometimes Confederates had crudely made buckles that weren't government issue but Im just not seeing it. Seriously it could be a sardine tin or other type of food container from that era.

Nice finds, nice bullets. I live in the Boro and have hunted a few private yards around the Battlefield. It's amazing how large of an area the battlefield covers. Are you a member of the middle Tennessee metal detecting club. It's a great group of people that love to detect. They have a websites www.mtmdc.com with directions.
