Hi again everyone. So I was out yesrterday and my detector picked up a strong signal 19-45 so I dug while fighting off Mosquitos. I found this black rock which was setting my pinpointer off like crazy. Turns out its magnetic. Any ideas what this is?

I'm wondering if it's not a rock at all, but a piece of hacked off metal from something. Some of the markings look machined. Almost like a screw.

Just guessing, though.

I encounter lots of magnetic rocks whilst detecting, different colours and forms, I have no idea about them only that they can drive you round the bloody bend :laughing7:
