i am back finally. i was given an ace 250 after mine was stolen, but this one has been underwater while on and was in a car accident but it was free. i cannot go deep, but i can get out to do the city parks and this is what i found. very interesting. i never knew these existed until now. not worth alot but very cool.

Well, glad to see you out swinging again! Sounds like the machine's working fine enough. Price was right. :)

Nice coin.

Nice looking coin--at least better looking than most of our current currency! Is that legal US tender or a coin created by someone that is supposedly worth a buck? How big is it?

Interesting story. I see several variants of this coin on eBay so I guess they are not actively confiscating them. Some are linked to the Tea Party, Ron Paul, etc. It's NOT legal tender, but similar I guess in some ways to a "good for" or "hard times" tokens. It's a cool find--first one I've seen!

That coin is certainly not going to win any beauty contests. For the End of modern society coin, you'd think they could come up with something better than this.

Yes, I believe Hillary Clinton posed for Ms. Liberty in this case! :laughing7:

To all : That is a 1 oz. copper coin minted by a private company in the U.S. They come in so many designs, I cant list them all here. Indian Heads, Merc Dime, Buffalo, Walking Liberty etc. Some people collect them by year or design. They come 20 to a tube as do American Eagles. A lot of people buy them as they do silver in case the economy takes a dump. Many still believe the dollar will collapse, & these are great size & worth for barter. Go to ebay & type in 1 oz. copper coins. You can surf them all day there are so many to look at. Hope this brief description helps. Ron
