A quick half hour hunt I found this mens gold band. I just was stopped by a french guy who barely spoke english asking me if I was looking for money. I said no I was looking for gold and he looked at me like I was kidding. I walk ten feet and dug this ring. I turned around and showed him the ring . He laughed and shook my hand and said "ohhh gold!"

Nice ring! Seems every time I got something good in my scoop, I got some busy body standing over me, wanting to know what I got!

Thanks a lot. This Excalibur detector has opened up so much more options to detect. I cant wait for fall to hit some really old colonial sites that I have scouted earlier this year. The beaches are two hours from me so its not a everyday option. Gold rings become very addicting! My wife even wore a watch I found when we had to dress up last night. I need to find out how to "cash in" the gold before gold drops any more.
