As they say, the gold is where you find it! I don't know where your at or what your looking for. But I do know one thing. Any time I take my metal detector any where and swing the thing. I always find something sometimes interesting sometimes not.
Have a great weekend.

WELCOME TO T-NET! :hello: :icon_thumright: If you let us know which state you live in, that will bring more responses from those who live in or near your state. I have a feeling it's in Southwestern USA, but please narrow it down. There's also regional or state forums here where you'll find people who can give you location ideas. Some desert areas have small ghost towns which may now be nothing but rubble of stone, planks, or dissolving adobe -- these areas may have old coins and interesting relics! Your local libraries are often good sources of historical events and locations, old maps, diaries, etc. HAVE FUN! Andi
