Welcome Stan and that is great finding the Woods Hibernia. A Dr Phil Mossman, noted nuministic author is doing a survey on ground found Woods Hibernia coinage and if you would kindly send him the photos of the coin, he will add to the survey and probably ID the variety if he has enough details showing. He will probably want county and state found in and perhaps other finds associated with it. Please contact him at [email protected].

Nice digs! Those Hibernias don't often come out of the ground in that good a shape. Congrats !

That's a nice copper, I mean you don't get 1700's coppers with that much detail, and date too often. Often coins (copper) a hundred years newer aren't as good.
