Well we had a nice moon low tide today so I took a nice walk along the water line today until my fingers were frozen(bad choice of gloves).I gave up and took my pull tab back to the car. While warming up in the car I noticed the far end of the beach looking fairly rocky so I got my better gloves and put on my backup hip boots(my waiders started leaking last week) and headed for the rocks. The pics tell the rest.Only lasted another 1/2 hr but it was worth every min.!!Enjoy.HH! Anyone know if the crown on the gold ring is significant for a time period? This area is an old beach.BIG ROCKS.

Great finds and great pictures, olas. I got to hand it to you. The weather must have been brutal along the beach. Chill factor must have been below zero. I guess you New Englanders know how to take it. HH

great finds! I saw that tide chart and wanted to go to the RI beaches this weekend, but didn't. Good to see there are treasures to be found!

Hey-
Good stuff!
That square around the 14 was used early 1900's. The crown is the makers mark.

thanks all. TXTim I'm not surprised to hear the date might be an early period.Flip I'm riding a 69 bonne frame with a single carb 650 motor.thanks.funny thing about the gold ring was that it was very black not clean as most gold finds are. It was under a fairly large rock and I thought it may have been there a while.

Nice cruciform and ring!

The crown mark is used as mark of quality. It's used by a lot of different makers. I'm sure a jeweler would know which one for sure.

How much do those electronic scales go for?

Nice work! ;)
