So I am still getting used to my Fisher F5 but have hit a streak of interesting stuff over the past 24hours. All 5 rings were found at schools, none are marked, and I'm relatively certain they are all junk but its neat for me as I hadn't found a single ring since I started detecting 5 years ago. I am sort of "renewing" my interest and recently upgraded from an Ace 250. Today I also hit an old farm site and came away with some junk there (pick axe head, small fireplace shovel head, glass or ceramic lid for mason jar....had a metal ring around it) but have yet to find even a wheat penny or anything other than clad. I will keep trying, but the rings, regardless of if they are actually worth anything, made my weekend interesting.

Nice-- even if they are gumball machine rings, they are lots more fun than pull tabs!

If you keep checking the place where you found the costume rings you'll find gold and silver as well. =)
Good job!

I love finding rings, fake or real, of course real is better, but a ring is a ring :tongue3:
