I have one of those! They are almost always associated with the Army of Tennessee....Western Theater, of course. That plate is commonly referred to as a Tennessee Clipped Corner. It will have black enamel on the face in the background surrounding the 'CS' letters. Be careful cleaning it....you don't want to take the black enamel off. The more enamel the better not to mention you have all the hooks. If it has green patina on it anywhere leave the green on as well. I have seen quite a few of this variety come out of the ground with all the hooks as this is a well made, very sturdy plate and a varying degree of paint remaining. I think it is the best looking Confederate plate out there.

You're probably looking at a $3,500-$3,800 plate right there....minimum. On a scale of one to five with 5 being the most rare, your plate would be a solid 4. I offer you my most sincerest congratulations on this fantastic find!

Definitely....BANNER!!!!

Have not been on in a while and I just spied a beautiful sight up on the banner. The holy grail of American relics and a smoking hot one to boot! I am speechless. I am glad there are still a few out there to be found. :notworthy::headbang::notworthy:

Absolutely fantastic find. It will not get better than this, SO ENJOY IT!! Most of us will never find a CS plate, much less the CS sardine can plate. do yourself a favor and resolve not to sell it. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
