Rhode Island Infantry button and strange round button?

Oh, its been a long hot season and the Safari hasnt gotten much use until about a week ago. 2 short hunts in between work yielded these 2 babies.
1, I was told by a veteran collector is a Rhode Island Infantry Button, only have a few buttons in the collection, so STOKED about this one...
The other, a Round gold or brass button with shank on the back the diameter of thin wire, broke off in my pocket, but no markings, looks like a button from your run of the mill blue blazer, but found in a known area of CW activity.
All the same, you gotta hunt in order to find, and I havent been doing much of that. So, over the moon to dig these guys up. Love help in ID'ing the round one, greetings to you all!

Hey Johnny, Its MUCH smaller than the one in your pic, same seal. Smaller than a dime. Still proud of it though, I dont find too many of these things!
