Think I have actually hit another home site in the same field but most of it gone due to modern building. Got a chain I think is from a cloak clasp (input appreciated), as it is similar to others I have dug with attachments. Barrel tap that appears to be early 1800's based on a little research before post (again input appreciated), and a few flat buttons. And as usual no :censored: coins.

Nice job man! I can't believe you haven't found any coins at that site yet. Keep hitting it, there's got to be at least one!

Nice finds...I have yet to dig a barrel tap....if I find one button on hunt I'm happy you got 4 well done...as far as the coins, I think they will turn up when you least expect them.

Yeah, I think you got a cloak clasp chain there. The barrel taps can really date from anytime 18th c. through mid 19th or so, but I'd say early 1800s for that one hits the nail on the head!

BuckleBoy,

Input appreciated. I watched your vid after I posted and noticed the "LONDON" button. Got a variant, as shown above, and several others out of this field.

Good old finds. As far as no coin...well some sites are just like that, I guess some people were very careful with their money, no doubt hard to come by. I remember one sit in particular, was quite rich in relics, bells, buttons, jews harps, etc. but not one coin.

Coins? Ah, you'll find em eventually. Actually I did hunt a site or two that never yielded even one coin, so I know where you're comin' from there. Nevertheless that is a nice collection of early finds.

I like all of 'em but especially that iron buckle :icon_thumright:

Steve of PA,

Honestly don't know about the chain. It is much frailer or weaker than the picture would indicate. Would think it would be a bit fragile for such use, but who knows.:dontknow:

If you get a chance, look into the curb chain. The links of your chain are the same size, shape, and style of a 19th century curb chain.

More nice finds TNG. There will be a nice OLD SILVER coin come from that field. Likely a Spanish Reale. HH, Q.
