Hello all not been able to detect much lately due to wifes illness but finally got out in the yard for bout 10 minutes before getting called back in found several ground up aluminum cans and this smashed thimble it says the thimble inc st louis mo I googled it but didnt learn anything does anyone have any idea what the age might be thanks for looking take care happy huntin

Congrats on the thimble and wishing well for you both. Used to be very popular in the early 1900's as advertisement. Dug a ChurnGold Butterine thimble a few weeks ago. Crushed like yours. :hello:

Well I believe it to be aluminum as it has that feel thanks for all the well wishes for wife
