Hello ilyes1113,

Terrific finds, including the gold banner coin! Thank you for trying so hard to produce a clear picture. I've found that mounting the camera on a tripod really helps to improve picture quality. Sometimes I have to remove the center portion of the tripod to turn it upside down so the camera is near the bottom of the tripod making it easier to focus when the coin is flat on the floor or a table top.

Thank you for sharing your terrific finds with us!...............................63bkpkr

He doesn't own a camera, only a phone with not a good macro on it. He also states, that he's not a rich man, so asking for a good photo is a little too much to ask in the first place. He did as well as he could.

Nice score! I don't believe that you found that at 18 inches depth with an ace 250, but congrats on an extraordinary good find!

He's using a 13" DD Ultimate coil on the 250.........it's very possible!

No I still don't believe it, I have tested the depth of my ace 250 to my other detectors and I couldn't get a response from my ace 250 at a depth of 10 inches. Maybe I will try an air test and see what the max depth is for my ace 250. Maybe he has really low mineralization.

Congrats on the biggest AU coin i've seen dug. Double for getting it with an Ace, I would have swung over it at 1" depth.

I'll bet that was a very special day for you . Gold coin finds are permanently burned into your drive :laughing7: Good Show.

Are you using a 13" coil on your Ace 250?
If not...then how can you do a test?

I thought we should move this road over to Algeria for this on.
well come .there is gold deposites in dezert .more than 10.000 ruines .but there is also pirate government .any think
on soil any think ander soil+anderwatter is appropriate for government ???

Finding and keeping this coin is illegal in Algeria.
The "ruines" where it was found could well be undeclared and unprotected archeological sites. The Algerian government may consider this "looting."
