Had a reeded border. On the Reverse is a lady sitting on a harp or shield. Please help. My daughter and I went and she whopped my bu!! pretty good.

Victoria is my guess. I'm not great on foreign coins but I suspect you're in the 1800s and I suspect it's Irish if that is a harp on the reverse. Cool find ! Compare the outline of the head and the placement of the "Brit" on yours to this picture.

Now look at the shape of the seated figure compared to yours. The arm matches up as does the rest of the figure other than the harp. Even the folds in the cloth below the leg is the same. It's nearly a perfect match except for the harp.

You guys certainly may be on the right track. There was a shipwreck at the site dating 1785. Also found THIS. In a Corps of Engineers dump pile. 1751.jpg carolus.jpg A 1751 English half penny and a Carolus III 8 Reale, no date. Cleaned it overnight in lemon juice. Still needs better cleaning

So crud, I find a 19th century almost looks like newly dropped Victorian penny on an 18th century shipwreck site. Check out my other post on what my daughter, the know it all found. In one hole.
