Found in attic

Found this while checking out the attic in new house we bought, the house was built in the mid 1930's also found a few other military items too but here's the pic

Helmet looks to be in great shape! One time I was working in the attic of a 1870s house. Found a pack of letters that had fallen down in a wall. All from the 1840's, talking about someones family moving west and how there trip was going. Very interesting stuff. I guess yeah never know!

Oh I will once I get everything moved in, the helmet was on the edge where the attic door comes down I looked with a flash light and can see other boxes in the back so tommorow I will look thru them and see if I can find anymore goodies

Just a update the helmet is authentic front seam but it didnt have the original liner but I do have a old nam era helmet somewhere and think I will used the liner from it til I can find a original ww2 liner to make it complete

Sometimes I think the owners don't have a clue. When our neighbors moved a couple years ago, they empted our their barn and took it down to a dump in the field. My wife got looking around and found a WW1 medics helmet. It had the red cross on it and also the origional leather liner and chin strap. Needless to say when she sold it on e-bay, we were very happy. It sold for over 200.00. Thank you neighbors.
