Found this today about 8 inches down. It appears to be stamped brass , highly tarnished of course. First thing I thought of was some sort of military medal. Dime is for size comparison.

Looks like part of a commercially produced bracelet. But is it wet in your pic? it looks tarnished, or rusty and wet. If you can post some more clear pics we might be able to help.

I had just cleaned it , but it is well tarnished.

I agree with "Baby" Commercially produced bracelet as evidenced by the existing links joining the larger sections - ( could have been a belt also )
