Here are some more items found at my cavalry camp. The loose items are things found on sunday. The items in the case are items found during previous hunts. The camp is in a plowed field , so some of the buttons don't always fare too well. I have also found many cartridges in bits and pieces as well as parts of shoulder epaulets.

I am still looking for my first US buckle at this one. A buddy I hunt with found one so hopefully there are a few more waiting around for me. The chances should be good since they were camped here for about 2 months with over 300 troopers in 5 companies. The majority of the field is plowed with maybe about 5 % in native grass. The grassy area is the area that produced the buckle.

Thanks Jim

I plan on hunting it until I can't swing a detector anymore. What really makes it sweet is the spot is a 5 minute drive for me and I have known the family that owns it forever, one of the brothers was a classmate ! Couldn't ask for it any better than that

Nice stuff. Hope you get your buckle. It's nice to have something to aim for, though - keeps the thrill of the hunt alive.
