Hey Trooper were you able to put a set of mics on it to determine the o/d, and is the bottom of the bullet reverse cone shape

Nice bullet stormy! I cannot help, but I know there are a bunch of websites that have lots of pictures to help identify them!

They almost all look the same to me. :-\

I not know the size of it...I was just wondering if it was a older style or not. I just snapped a picture of it when I was at his place, so I dont actually have it in hand anymore :-\

Looks a lot like a buffalo bullet, I would place it to post civil war, but before the turn of the century...( i hope i'm right)

I remember this bullet being large in size...Close to a modern .50 cal, so I bet you are on track with that guess.
