Had a nice short hunt. I've never found a 100% COMPLETE Eagle button (with shank!) that was folded COMPLETELY in half. Also amazed to find thread on another rough eagle - I know they're out there, but in a plowed and fertilized field that's been continuously worked since the war??? Man, you just never know. Also found partial inner workings of a percussion lock, a grape, and the third heavily rusted-away Springfield musket tool from this camp. The other items are the bolster cap of a pocket knife, and a couple of button backs only.
