Hibernation over! First hunt of 2014

My last hunt was Nov 14, and now just FOUR MONTHS later, the ground is thawing enough in spots to dig a plug. Talk about a super short winter, awesome! I hit a spot just through the yard and onto the golf course. It's a mega pounded (by me) spot, and I didn't expect to find anything...and I didn't even find a penny lol. Only had a few min, but I did find this little tag that says "V.I.P. 'H' 1916". It felt so good to get my hands in that mud...

Thanks everybody. It's ironic however, I woke up this morning to more snow and -17C this morning lol. Ahh, gotta love spring on the prairies...
