Do you think the root grew around them? I figure the bullets 'wood' have mushroomed more if they were fired into it.

Superb quality finds Mark, absolutely 1st rate. But I gotta ask, while I don't want any specifics that would give away your hunting grounds or anything, where in the hell are you finding that many pieces of wood with CW-era bullets in them?!?! Finding one every so often is one thing (even though they're pretty uncommon), but to find as many as you're coming up with is basically unheard of at this late date.

Got to be someplace with a truly strange temporal rift where stuff doesn't deteriorate as fast. Need some of them around here.
