Just getting started in the hobby and found this at an old early 1900's home-site in Oklahoma after 30 minutes of searching. The coin appears to be a 1912 British One Penny. The other object I have no idea what it could be, but found two of them. Also came up with an old plow point and pieces of an old wood cook stove. Looking forward to returning when time permits.

Actually it may have been from a WWII veteran. I learned a man living nearby had been in England prior to "D" Day. He fought at Normandy and later fought in the Battle of the Bulge. The old home site was of his relatives and one of the family was a young girl. The thinking is he got the coin while in England and made a necklace for the young girl after returning home from the war. He passed away two years ago.
