Ossi! You're killing me! That horse brooch is stunning! But with the Torque i nearly faint... If that piece doesn't make Banner nothing does. Thats a fresh site, i would stay there till ground freezes....

Vote is in for that Celtic Torque! :occasion14:

Roman and Celtic what a site ! With a near whole Celtic torque adorning the day ! Looks like you had a good plowing and a bit of luck that the torque did not sustain more plow damage ! It looks like it was beautiful swinging ! Congrats on a great great day in the field ! ! MaineRelic

5 Replies is not that much for an outstanding find. A Celtic Torque was worn by very wealthy people, not many found by the archies. Very few were made from gold, most were bronze like this one. Anyways, a Torque is the holy grail of Celtic finds! Congrats again! :notworthy:

Excellent finds you have there, especially the intact torque and other pieces. The variety is surprising and impressive.

Maybe a few more t-netters will wake up to have a good look at your finds. Some people don't look at t-net every day, but they'll get a stunning nice surprise when they see your finds! Thanks for sharing them! :icon_thumright: Andi

Amazing finds and banner worthy. I think that most members of TNET are stateside and don't know much about early coinage for your country. For us almost everything that you all dig over there is older that anything in America. So when you fellow countrymen get excited we know it must be good.

Agreed. In the states that's a bent piece of wire that goes in the trash. Lol. Great find! Thanks for the education. It has to be awesome to pull that kind of history out of the ground.

Very neat finds. I thought they were referred to as Torcs?

Anyway, is the brooch you found the one being placed on auction?

Yeah I thought it was torc too but the spell check tool does not like it spelt that way.

I VOTED BANNER - NUGGY

A cheap one until I can decide on a very good brand-name one to buy.

A smashing good find!

I like the coin in picture number 4 (of 20) right above the horse's head. It's a nice coin and in decent shape in my opinion. I just like it.
