I found a ring in the woods along a very old trail....Can't believe it.

So Was walking in the woods behind the house and while walking back I had to cross over a tree and as I went over I looked down and knew someone had dropped something in this spot.
This is a old trail along a small creek and has a little history. I set the coil down and it spiked my meter.
and pulled this old ring out of the ground.

Just before the 10k I see a U with an arrow through it. looks like a makers mark to me.
