I obtained permission to detect an old homestead site today. The two story chimney still stands, reminding us all of a time when life was tougher and simpler. I dug a big, brass pocket watch back, a pocket knife, a harmonica reed, and old Revlon "Auburn" brass make up pen, and an unknown brass mechanical piece. No coins, tokens, or buttons...a little strange. This place has never been detected before and has been in the owner's family since 1900. The pocket watch back has a makers mark of "R" over an "S", and a 500,000 series serial number. Thanks for looking, more digging planned tomorrow! Happy Hunting, Sub 8-)
