I dug them up today in shallow sod overlaying blacktop in an old neighborhood.

I'm no builder, but the brown strips seem like your standard industrial copper, and the silver looking parts seem to be conductive nodes or strips. I tried prying one off, they seem soldered on, the silver metal was soft and easily imprinted by my plier.

Safe to say it must be something conductive? Obviously they're not corroded. They make a sound like silver when I clang them together. I've found nothing but clad coins and costume jewelry so far, so if this is some kind of metal heavy industrial switch from the 70's, I will call that a win.

As you might imagine, they gave off a sharp, coin-ey ping.
