Went back to an old 1930's dump today. It was a great spot for awhile, but the finds eventually dried up. Tried it again and found one decent item. It's a 1930 Ford Model A hubcap. The chrome is in pretty rough shape and most of the back clips are rusted away, but still a fun item to find.

What makes it really cool is the fact that I found another one there last year! Neither one is worth much in their rough condition, but they do look nice hanging on the wall in my garage.

Here's a couple of photos. The one I found today is on the right. Last year's hubcap is in better condition, but I think they're both keepers.

Thanks! I've found quite a few Model A parts at this site. The hubcaps are nice finds, but the coolest part I ever found was a magneto. It was very corroded, but I salvaged the brass parts, the spark plug and the bakelite cap and sold them on eBay for $70.00!

Here's what it looked like fresh out of the ground:

The weird thing is that the "Ford" script lettering on them doesn't quite match. I wonder if they changed the lettering slightly for 1931.
