I headed over to the church I scored yesterday's
Victorian gold at..10 minutes in a woman pulled
onto the grass lot. She initiated the
who are you?and why are you here? eye contact
So glancing up I said.Hi I called yesterday and was granted permission to hunt the area
She told me more people would be coming for a class they teach
(The grass is the parking lot) I figured out of sight. out of mind.
I responded by telling her I would be gone in 10 minutes And that as I went along I cleaned the lawn.of all surface trash. She was a nice lady
And said she couldn't even see where I had dug
I told her that's the way I roll : )

So with the church being a bust for the day I headed 8 blocks over to my favorite park
Its been good to me in 2014 providing me with 4 gold's and 16 silver for the year so far

These 3 silvers included
My smallest ring yet! Sterling and I think garnets.
Keeping true to my Victorian streak!

The merc is a 1937 no mint markand the barber
A 1906-O.

A great day hunting. Dug 4 Indians as well
but they never come out good in this Parks soil.

Had a great day..although very windy
I will be out there again tomorrow

Thanks for reading. -LIM-

Lesche is indeed more (best in my opinion) Nice finds ! - the stones in the ring look a bit to hot an orange color to be garnets in my
estimation (CZ's maybe?)

That stuff is great. I would be thrilled if I found a ring. May I ask, are you in the south?

Does the ring have a sterling mark? It's probably just the pics but it almost appears to be plated. Nice silvers!

Chasej97. I use a Minelab Safari..And I love it!

Argentium i dig your name..no pun intended : )
Garnets vary in color to shades of orange and green
They are called dementoid garnets. I think the ring may predate
Cubic zirconias but I may be wrong..odds are they are cut glass
but some Bohemian garnet pieces have orange stones so idk

65Chevy ..hang in there my man the gold train cometh! And ty for the compliments

Maxvenk I am located in North Dartmouth Massachusetts.

OldDude.the ring is stamped Sterling you can see the ling in side pic of the ring.but it came out of the same acidic soil as the merc
I suppose it could have been rhodium dipped but all the silvers I get in this one area of the park are a gun metal gray even after a light cleaning.I believe this area used to be super piney.the water table is also all messed up so since people really routed the Parks Brooks in the 1950s

Thank you all for your inquiry's I enjoy the questions and have nothing but copper silver and golden hopes for all of you. :)

Great finds. Congrats. I find that sometimes my "plan B" hunting spot surprises me with something nice. Continued good luck to you!
