Found this yesterday at a friends property that I've hunted a couple times before without much luck. They don't know the age of the house but it's a log structure probably dating to the early 1800's or late 1700's.

Also found what looks like a .69 fired musket ball. I'm not sure if it's civilian or military, there was some Confederate troop movement through the property on their way to the Battle of Hanover and subsequently to Gettysburg.

Here are some other items including a harmonica reed and a religious tag for a horse that I found last week at another location. If anyone can identify the hook type object let me know what it is.

Thanks for looking!

That's a nice find, looks like their might be some nice detail under that crud caked on it. I'd be careful cleaning it though, I've ruined a couple Indians trying to get caked crud off of em. HH and thanks for sharing

Nice half cent. The dates on the 1809's are large and almost always readable.

Would that unknown object be strong/big enough to be a lock for a car corner window?

Yes it would be strong enough, but I don't think that is what it is, for two reasons: First they are normally a 90° lever and secondly it is threaded with no set screw to keep it from unscrewing when turned. Thanks for the input!
