Today was my first time out detecting in over a month. First spot was well worked over. Not much to mention but a few wheat pennies oldest being a 1919. I think that's my 14th 1919. LOL! My buddy found a 1940 quarter, he was excited seeing it was his first silver quarter. Second site was a much older site, found a few LC's, two civil war tokens and about 12 IH's last fall. Anyway to make a long story short found my second 2 cent coin ever, its a 1864. Still needs to be cleaned. More pontil bases and some clay pipe stems. Also other odds and ends. Oh and what looks to be a trigger guard my friend found. We both walked away happy!!!

One of the hardest coins to find, especially on the west coast. In 25 years of hunting I've only found one. Nice find!
