    Coin count 119.....Dumb @ss count 1

I got permission to hunt a 100 year old home place that is being torn down. They are using a bobcat to do all of the work and I've been having to dodge it the whole time. Headphones make it a litle rough. I don't really know where to begin because I found so much t hat it's even hard for me to believe. I have dug very few nickel signals because he is scooping up topsoil and dumping it in the basement to fill it. So I've had to hurry but choose what to dig also. I got a 1945 pl Washington quarter, 41pl, 43pl and a 27pl mercury dimes. Also a 43p silver nickel. 19 wheats-1937pl, 30d, 46pl, 45pl, 41pl, 44pl, 45pl, 34pl, 17pl, 19pl, 44pl, 37pl, 34pl, 42pl, 34pl, 38pl, 42d and 2 that I can't quite make a date on....64 lincoln memorials, 7 Jefferson nickels, 14 clad dimes, 8 clad quarters and a 1965 Canadian cent. I found a lucky mule token. Dang, when I dug it up it was big as a silver dollar and the first thing I thought of was colonial coin, lol!!!...I couldn't see it good at first. I got a 1920 Morgan county Tennessee dog tax tag. A parking token from Farmington, Mich. That knife looks like a straight razor by the way it's shaped but the blade is broken, bone handles though and looks pretty old. A citizen watch tha gave my heart a jump but it's junk I guess. I got an aluminum ring, a nice shoe polish bottle that I found in the track of the bobcat. I found that news paper clipping in-between the floor boards where the re-floored the kitchen. I'm going to post a few what is it's so you experts can have some fun. I have no clue Thanks a bunch and have a goodin!

Oh, the dumb @ss thing was the old key I found and was trying to clean the dirt out of the hole and broke the top off of it....DANG IT!!!

Dang!!! YOu continue to amaze me!

I have a question about the hunt.

Are you hunting areas where the soil has not yet been disturbed or are you following the bobcat, working the scraped topsoil?
I have heard of people following the bulldozers, picking up the finds right near the surface. They work it twice, once after the initial scraping of the soil, and again when it is spread back out.

    Re: Coin count 119.....Dumb @ss count 1

This is the first time I have hunted a place where they are moving dirt around. Some of the coins were right on top of the ground. Some were pretty deep in loose soil so I had to listen close for the faint signals because some were laying on their edge. I sure have had a ball and hopefully I'm not done there yet. HH to all, DANGLANGLEY
