So I posted our finds from yesterday and asked you all within the post how old a penny has to be to be a Wheatie. Well, I was makin my "pot of treasure" (see pic below) and darned if I didn't come across my VERY FIRST Wheatie in today's loot! Old coins are not easy to find here in western WA.

Also: an Asian coin with no English nomenclature, if anyone can recognize its country of origin, do tell please. AND the largest Silver ring yet! It was truly a day of treasure.

I was at a school that I think offers penny flipping classes out by the backstop. The ground was absolutely packed with pennies. I think I done found me some virgin soil my fine friends!!! Everything in the pic came from 4 hours at the school.

Happy hunting to you!

Easy for me to remember. They started the Lincoln Memorial reverse cents to commemoriate the year I was born. ;D

Buddy Holly dies, I'm born, cents change . . . more than coincedence?

Congrats on the find! Now onto first pre'64 silver coin and first pre-1900 date. (Nobody ever really finds gold coins, so don't even hope. :D)

Very nice ring....Hey, in about 1972 I bought my first coin out of a magazine to start my coin collection. It looks exactly like that but it was clad. The ad said it was a China dollar. Great find!!!
