found this 1936 piece over the weekend and I think it's some kind of code breaker. has crossed keys on it, which may have been a French military item. has 26 numbers and 26 letters. the top piece dials to select different number and letter combinations also. what do you guys think? also found a couple of Wheaties and another silver mercury dime to add to the silver collection! HH!! David:thumbsup:

Reminds me of a Little Orphan Annie radio show secret decoder ring. Does it say RKO on it somewhere? I think that is the radio station that carried the show.

no. doesn't say that on it anywhere. Has ORA on it that I think stands for the French organizational resistance army.

that looks something like it, but doesn't dial like this one or have the crossed keys and letter "ORA" or "SS" on it.

Hello blugotti1. Yup a Radio Orphan Annie decoder device. Nice find. The kiddies would get a coded message on one show and then decode for the next one...I think.

Found a different version from 1938 a while back. Thanks for posting it and good luck. C9
