This is the past few days worth of my hand digging me and my daughter kylee have done in our backyard area since she first found the key, its been nonstop blind digging. I plan to get a detector soon, this model: Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter II
Seems like a good starter one with the kit it comes with.

But till then this here is what we have blind found so far, not including the mystery key solved from the other day.

Two Pesos: 1989 $1000 and a 1992 $100
Some heavily corroded pennies
Diamond or cubic zirconia? No real colorful light from it and does cut glass easily, but appears to be scratched on the crown.
A marble she lost somewhere

All in all some great finds for us beginners i reckon, and kylee is having a huge blast with this stuff. Never seen someone so excited over a ol budweiser bottle cap, and with this stuff she went ballistic over! I got to admit, my blood gets pumping at the sight of just about anything too. Cant wait till we can get a metal detector in and go to some the old crumbling plantations around here. Till then this will suffice and its a blast.

Those are good finds you made with out a detector! Maybe you can get the diamond tested to see if it's real.

I intend too for sure, the scratch if that is what it is has me thinking it probably isn't diamond but who knows its been in the dirt no telling how long and could possibly been scratched by another diamond. Hard to tell if it is a surface scratch or a impurity itself without a loupe or a professional lookover
